It’s possible! The people I’ve come across who didn’t know what the Internet Archive was also didn’t know what the WayBack Machine was, either. It was kind of bizarre, it felt like if I said to someone “Wikipedia is down” and they didn’t know what I meant 😅
Ah as usual, I've learnt something new from you, Hannah, thanks! Older food blogs that I used to love have disappeared into web oblivion and we've been left with just a bunch of broken links as you noted. When the Wayback Machine is up again, I'll see if I can track down those blogs again.
I always call it The Wayback Machine … I wonder if people know it more by that name?

Yeah I would feel like I got dropped into a different place or time 🤣
I've read so many out of print works on there that I'd have no other way of getting my hands on. It's such a valuable resource!
Same!! So many people and institutions depend on The Archive for research purposes, and this outage has really highlighted that fact.

Yes! A lot of those posts might still be available in the WayBack Machine. If you need help figuring out how to use it once it’s up, let me know!
Thanks, will do!
A very, very important message! Thank you.
